This Exhibit A is incorporated in and made a part of the Faculty Contract, and includes the following:
Medical Faculty Practice Plan
1. The Faculty Member understands that engaging in private practice is not required.
2. If the Faculty Member elects to engage in private practice, then he/she agrees to conduct such practice solely under the terms and conditions of the University's Medical Faculty Practice Plan.
Conditions of Faculty Compensation
The compensation as indicated in paragraphs 9 and 10 was based on funds available to the School of Medicine as of July 1, 1995. It may be necessary to modify the compensation terms of this Contract in the event that the availability of funding to the School of Medicine changes during the year.

This Exhibit A is incorporated in and made a part of the Faculty Contract, and includes the following:
The University guarantees payment of the base salary portion of your compensation that is comprised of current unrestricted funds, departmental restricted funds, endowment funds and funding from other University schools. All other sources of funding, including Los Angeles County and contracts and grants, are external and controlled by those funding entities. The University's guarantee of the external funding portion of your compensation is contingent upon the availability of such funds from the external funding source(s).
If there is an inconsistency between any other provision of the Faculty Contract and Exhibit A, Exhibit A shall govern.
