A Joint Task Force Regarding Governance
 

WHEREAS, academic collegial governance, resting on genuine consultation with faculty, and conducted according to national standards and procedures concerning academic freedom, academic tenure, and full academic due process, will serve the School well as it strives to achieve its purpose,
 

THEREFORE, in accordance with the Governance Document (1997) of the School of Medicine, the Medical Faculty Assembly makes this Recommendation to the Dean, with a copy to the Faculty Executive Council (FEC):
 

THE MEDICAL FACULTY ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDS THAT THE DEAN:
 

Create a standing Joint Task Force regarding Governance, charged with making recommendations regarding all aspects of governance to the Medical Faculty Assembly, to the FEC, to the student and hospital assemblies, and to the Dean.  The Medical Faculty Assembly further recommends that the Joint Task Force:
