1.  Meetings of the Medical Faculty Assembly (MFA).

Meetings of the MFA will be scheduled for noon on the first Tuesday of the month, except for the January and May meetings, which will be scheduled as meetings of the Faculty-at-Large (designated with *). The usual Fall Faculty-at-Large meeting has been moved to January to accomodate the Dean's schedule. Meetings may be rescheduled if conflicts arise. Currently, meetings are held in the Norris Medical Library Conference Room.

As needed, the MFAEB meets at 1 PM on those Tuesdays when there is no scheduled meeting of the MFA or the Faculty-at-Large. Currently, the meetings are held in KAM 505.

• April 3: The office of the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs will mail a solicitation for nominations to all faculty eligible to vote.

• April 28: Deadline for receipt by the office of Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs of nominations with verification of willingness to serve.

• May 3: The office of the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs will mail ballots to the work address of all faculty eligible to vote. The ballots will allow for write-in votes, with instructions to return ballots to the same office.

• May 25: Deadline for receipt of ballots by the office of the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs.

• May 26: Counting of ballots by the office of the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs. The ballots will be retained until at least September 1, after which time they may be discarded, unless a request to preserve the ballots is received.

4.  Nomination and election of officers of the MFA, members of the MFAEB, and Senators to the Academic Senate.

• March: At its March meeting, the MFA shall elect a nominating committee to work with the President-Elect to make nominations for officers, members of the MFAEB, and Senators to the Academic Senate.

• April: At the April meeting of the MFA, or the meeting of the Faculty-at-Large, the nominating committee shall announce the nominations, and call for additional nominations.

• May: At the May meeting of the MFA, the President-Elect shall announce the current nominees, and again call for additional nominations.

• June: At the June meeting of the MFA, with the newly elected representatives installed, the representatives shall vote by secret ballot for the officers, members of the MFAEB, and Senators to the Academic Senate. Those elected shall be installed as the last item of business at the meeting.
